Q: How what sets you apart from other photographers?
A: The truth is, even after 30 years as a professional photographer, I still choke up at weddings and remain completely enchanted. I am equally captivated by the adorable children and families whose portraits I create. My passion is to give my clients and their descendants a beautiful historical record of pivotal life moments.
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: I shoot all photographs in RAW format on cutting edge Canon equipment. This gives me the greatest flexibility and control over the finished product, helping ensure I deliver nothing short of perfection.
Q: How do you choose what wedding photos to shoot?
A: Rule #1: it’s your wedding. From your engagement and bridal portraits to the day of the wedding, my job is to spend as much time with you as needed to capture your vision. But I’m also known as the fastest photographer in St. Louis, which means you can relax and enjoy the day after we capture the crucial posed photos of you and your family.
Q: What about the reception?
A: I love to shoot with natural light! My photographs will not only capture the fun and laughter and best dance moves, but also the ambience, the glow of the decorations, and the overall feeling of the moment.
Q: How many photos do you take, and how many will I see?
A: Working with an assistant, I frequently capture up to 10,000 images at a single wedding. I then spend countless hours culling them down to the best 5 or 10 percent, which means you receive a manageable selection of the most beautiful and fun. These are posted to a password-protected website that you can share. All high resolution files are delivered to you electronically so you have a record of your day.
Q: What about wedding album design?
A: You’ll have an infinite number of choices when designing your wedding album. You’ll find everything from leather-bound volumes to more contemporary coffee table books. But don’t worry – I’ll guide you through the selection process. You’ll be able to make as many changes as you wish until you land upon a finished product that reflects your vision and memory of the day. Your wedding album will instantly become a family heirloom to be cherished by generations to come!
